Topic Suggestion: nUnuntu

I recall hearing somewhere that the next release of BackTrack will
also be much more of a 'distro' with updates, etc. So if that's the
big draw for nUbuntu, it may well me addressed by the BackTrack folks.

nUbuntu used to be developed by TomB, he kicks around #hak5, paul or
larry may know him too. I haven't spoken to him for a while but
looks like he is listed an inactive on the team page so perhaps he's
passed the batton on. Last I heard he hadn't updated it in a while
and it was getting quite out of date, but if others are taking it on
now that may have changed.

I don't know if this has been mentioned on presvious episodes or
not, but there's a Ubuntu-derived distro for penetration testing:
http://www.nubuntu.org/about.php

At a glance, it appears they have a lot of the same tools found in
similar distros, such as backtrack. One difference it seems is the
integration of their own package repository for updating and adding
new tools. (Something that I don't think Backtrack can do...)

Anyways, if it's new to you, give it a look and see if it's worth
discussing on the show.
