Hi Tudor, You need to use Npcap 0.08 and later releases together with Nmap built from trunk after this commit: "Upgrade to Npcap 0.08 (libpcap 1.8.0 headers for Windows)". You can get latest Npcap 0.08 r7 at: https://github.com/nmap/npcap/releases Cheers, Yang On Tue, Aug 23, 2016 at 3:43 AM, Tudor-Emil COMAN < tudor_emil.coman () cti pub ro> wrote:
Hi, I'm having some trouble with Nmap on Windows 8.1. It's about the code in the main trunk. I'm getting: First-chance exception at 0x100041C8 (Packet.dll) in nmap.exe: 0xC0000005: Access violation writing location 0x0000004C. Unhandled exception at 0x100041C8 (Packet.dll) in nmap.exe: 0xC0000005: Access violation writing location 0x0000004C. From readip_pcap on line 1682( PacketSetReadTimeout(pd->adapter, to_left); ) in scan_engine_raw.cc, I just merged my own branch in the main trunk but this is not from me, the previous rev has the same problem.
