Extracting header information from raw packet

Hello folks,

I am writing a script which is listening for a raw packet, after getting a
packet I am processing layer 2 data string, from that I want to extract out
some header information where I am facing problem. Is there any script
which performs similar kind of thing ? I looked at dhcp-broadcast-discover
but it is using dhcp parser.
