Hi All!

This is the report for week 10.

Achievements:

  * Created the https://svn.nmap.org/nmap-exp/jay/ignore-after branch
for the --ignore-after option (revision 33304,33305). I will be
officially announcing this branch on the list once I consider the
    feature as sufficiently tested.
  * Made a lot of commits on the branch that show how the --ignore-after
feature progressed over time (including a lot of the work I did
before I made the branch). This way, reviewing it later will be
    easier. (See commit log [1])
  * Analyzed how --ignore-after would affect Zenmap and Ndiff too. I
have fixed Ndiff on the branch, however the changes in Zenmap are
more of design changes and I will have to discuss these on the list
    before doing anything else.
  * Found a new bug in Nmap. Reported on list at [2].

Priorities:

  * Finish testing the --ignore-after option, and then officially
    announce it on the list.
  * Work on how to make linux capabilities get detected better (and then
switch to using capabilities automatically, if they exist)
  * Document the newly added features

Cheers,
Jay

PS: There is a mistake in the previous report. Revisions 33290 and 33291
are for committing the show TTL patch (not intensity for version
scripts). The version scripts' intensity patch is yet to be committed.
