Oops, gave a wrong Subject for the mail last time. Sorry for the noise.

Hi All!

This is the report for week 4.

Achievements:

  * Had a discussion and came to proper conclusions on the requirements
    of the --exclude-ports option. (See thread at
    http://seclists.org/nmap-dev/2014/q2/400)
  * Coded in the --exclude-ports option. I still need to run a few more
    tests before I post it on the list.
  * Modified some Zenmap code to work properly with the modifications I
    had made to speed it up. (Committed as revisions 32985,32986)
  * Added new options --data <hex string> and --data-string <string> to
    Nmap. (Committed as revision 33014)
  * Came up with a rough idea on how to combine parallel timed-out hops
    into one node in the topology view in Zenmap.

Priorities:

  * Finish testing the --exclude-ports option and post it on the list
  * Refine the idea on combining parallel timed-out hops into one node
    in the topology view in Zenmap and then implement it.
  * Work on a file-based paging system for displaying output in Zenmap
    (to reduce its memory footprint)
  * Document the --data <hex string> and --data-string <string> options
    in docs/refguide.xml
  * After I commit the --exclude-ports option, document it in
    docs/refguide.xml

Cheers,
Jay
