BUG? Socket troubles: Too many open files.

Hi

I was looking at archive and it's not the first time that a similar problem
was reported (http://seclists.org/nmap-dev/2012/q3/973), at least I think
it's similar, but the patch doesn't appear to solve the issue properly.

I download nmap from svn a few days ago, my version is Nmap 6.02.

I'm using the following command nmap -sT -n -sV -O --script "(auth or brute
or exploit or intrusive or vuln) and not (smb-brute or ldap-brute)" -iL
HOSTS.txt -oN Results-HOSTS.txt

And I get the following error:

failed.
Aborted

There is a workaround? Is it a well-known bug?
