The best way to get started is definitely writing scripts! 

I haven't been keeping up with this list, so I'm not sure why your previous script slipped through the cracks, but it 
may be for a number of reasons:
- Nobody considered it useful enough
- It was poorly written
- People were too busy and simply forgot

I always lean towards the latter by default. If you think it's well written and useful, then it may have just been 
forgotten. If you aren't sure, go over it again, and make sure the code is clean, well documented, and easy to 
understand. Then, submit it again!
