Could Zenmap please follow the XDG Base Directory Specification for
the configuration/data directory on linux?

more infos here:
- - http://standards.freedesktop.org/basedir-spec/basedir-spec-latest.html
- - http://www.freedesktop.org/wiki/Software/pyxdg
- - https://wiki.ubuntu.com/LittleDetails#Use%20XDG%20folders

Can you be more specific? What directories does Zenmap now create and
where, and where should they be moved to?

What benefits do you see in using the XDG directories? Is this something
supported across different desktop environments, is that the idea?
