Turns out you need to start the server with "openarena-server +exec
debian_server.cfg". I did not notice because I set it to start up at
boot. If you just run "openarena-server" it does not make it far
enough to start accepting status requests.

Worked with my tremulous as well. What is your tremulous version?

I'll try tremulous again once I get it installed. Just tested
openarena and it is still working perfectly for me. Openarena should
be available in wheezy

  hello

Find attached the new info script for extracting information from
Quake3-like game servers.

You can run a compatible server by doing...
apt-get install tremulous-server
tremulous-server

And try out the script as follows...
nmap -sU -sV --script quake3-info.nse -Pn 127.0.0.1 -p 30720

I didn't find tremulous-server in Debian wheezy, but there was
openarena-server. The script (nor the UDP payload) seems not to get a
response.

I didn't try tremulous-server, only openarena-server. I don't use the
non-free APT repository, which is maybe why tremulous-server doesn't
appear to me.

Here's what I'm trying:
$ openarena-server
ioq3 1.36+svn1946-5/Debian linux-x86_64 Aug  4 2011
...
----------------------

execing default.cfg
execing q3config_server.cfg
couldn't exec autoexec.cfg
Hunk_Clear: reset the hunk ok
