I tried to install the bz2 version on gentoo. It failed to open the bz2
file. No end of file. I managed to install the tgz version in
/usr/portage/distfiles. and compiled it. If someone knows where to copy the
new version, I will be glad. is there a ebuild for gentoo?

A workaround is to run "touch nbase/configure" to bring the configure

This worked.

                                               My guess is that this is
a one-time problem caused by file modifications times being changed by a
recent Subversion update. Does it happen with a fresh checkout?

A fresh check out is fine too. My understanding is that this comes from
the fact that svn does not preserve timestamps
(cf.
http://blog.smartlogicsolutions.com/2008/06/07/subversion-timestamps-capistrano-finalize_update
),
combined with the previous "svn update" that I ran... Weird.

Thanks for the tip.

Cheers,

Lionel
