 Dear staff of nmap-dev

Would somebody like to help me please? ,thanks :
I am a newbie in this matter and this happened when I tried to setup some tools for the program :

1 ) I am on OS ( windows 2000 professional )

2) I installed the program Nmap ( nmap-4.68-setup.exe) w/ Windows Self-installer and all was working fine ( well some
tools I tried ,at least the GUI appeared ! and opened ) ,
But after reading the possibility of getting better performance I followed the instruction and I modified :
“Applying the by double-clicking on nmap_performance.reg” in order to “Connect scan performance can be improved
substantially” , as I read and I did !!??
3 ) Hence I could not open anymore the program !! although I have tried several options such us : deleting it and
reinstalling twice and so forth the following this message appeared :

ENTRY POINT NOT FOUND “The procedure entry point getaddrinfo could not be located in the dynamic link library
ws2_32.dll.

4) I have tried to run under the “Command Prompt” and neither

5) I looked at the C:\Program Files\Nmap\zenmap\ zenmap.exe.log and the message

Error in sys.excepthook:
Traceback (most recent call last):
File "zenmap", line 84, in excepthook
AttributeError: 'Blackhole' object has no attribute 'close'

6) I re-installed in other directory but Not luck at all

Does anybody have a clue? ,please how can I run the program once again ?,thanks
Thank you very much indeed Alejandro Julio Arias Architect Mobile Phone : 0054.9.11.32.46.58.07Skype : alex.arias2
