So my questions are: What's the process for adding "missing" prefixes? Do they need to be properly verified before adding them or can the IEEE list be trusted?
I have a script which takes care of this. Thanks for the reminder. For prefixes in the IEEE DB, the script update does the trick. We also have some virtual NIC prefixes which aren't in the IEEE DB for some reason: 525400 QEMU Virtual NIC B0C420 Bochs Virtual NIC DEADCA PearPC Virtual NIC 00FFD1 Cooperative Linux So when you find new entries of that sort, just send an email to me or nmap-dev. I just updated the DB to include the latest IEEE prefixes.
