o Embedded Nmap work--Nmap on the OLPC, Nokia Internet Tablets, and
similar devices.

This does make my coding fingers itch. If I didn't have a full time
job, I'd totally apply to do this project. Two further platforms which
I could imagine running nmap are the iLiad (http://www.irextechnologies.com/products/iliad
) and the Nintendo DS.

On the OLPC 'porting' would probably amount to installing an nmap
distribution. OLPC's run a redhat version on an intel CPU. Having a
sugar Nmap activity would be an interesting project in its own right.
The iLiad runs a real Linux, however it runs on an arm CPU so Nmap
would need some cross compiling and probably also an eInk-aware user
interface (slow, explicit screen refreshes). For the Nintendo DS I
think that the Nsock library would need to be ported. Also a user
interface would need to be built. With the new iPhone/iPod Touch SDK
it might be interesting to make a touch screen interface for the nmap
running on the iPhone. So many projects, so few SoCers ;)

cheers,
Diman
