Hi Stanimir,

I'm not an expernt on windows compilers and I suspect the exact
problem probably depends on your compiler and system but I think
kx found a work around to your problem at least on VC++ 2005
Express:

Good luck,

Doug

Hi,

I just tried to compile source of Nmap 3.9999 under WinXP as per
instructions on

but compilation was not successful. I got next error:

Compiling resources...
.\nmap.rc(10) : fatal error RC1015: cannot open include file 'afxres.h'.
Build log was saved at
"file://c:\Data\C++\nmap-3.9999\mswin32\Release\BuildLog.htm"
nmap - 1 error(s), 290 warning(s)
========== Build: 4 succeeded, 1 failed, 0 up-to-date, 0 skipped

My question is, where can I get some help with this problem, since I'm
systems engineer with little programming experience?

Lep pozdrav - Best regards,

Hello everyone,

I am pleased to announce the release of Nmap 3.9999. From the version
number, you can probably guess that we are getting very close to the
big 4.0 release. But this version has many changes, so I wanted to
give you a chance to fully test it out before releasing 4.0. Please
let me know if you find any problems in the next few days.
