problem with nmap-3.81

Hi! Can you please help me? I have downloaded the last version of nmap and followed the instructions on site ( I have 
downloaded WinPcap packet capture library too) When I start nmap this happened:

C:\Program Files\nmap-3.81>nmap -sT 127.0.0.1

QUITTING!

When I tried something else:

C:\Program Files\nmap-3.81>nmap -sP 195.252.17.*

C:\Program Files\nmap-3.81>

and then this pops up:

nMap ('nuff said) has encountered a problem and needs to close.  We are sorry for the inconvenience.


Error signature:
AppName: nmap.exe  AppVer: 2.53.0.1  ModName: unknown
ModVer: 0.0.0.0  Offset: 5f6e4e1a

When I try any other command the same thing happends.
What I have done wrong? I'm running windows XP profesional (not installed any service pack)
