www.rootkit.com had a working syn scanner available for winnt. It is
currently not available for download, but I am sure you can ask greg for
it. While *barely* related, I have written a tool called winfingerprint
that uses smb queries for OS identification and enumerates running
services (among many other things) If anyone is interested in checking it
out,
it can be found at http://www.technotronic.com/winfingerprint/
Source is of course available as well.
