Except that the very reason This Thread started was because 8. 8. 8. 8 was not responding to pings and cause issues 
with many facturar hard-coded destinations.

Exactly.  8.8.8.8 isn’t going down anytime soon, also is geographically redundant; even if half the internet is dead, 
it’ll still be there.    It’s somewhat hard to duplicate that cheap.

What else is like that and easy to remember and isn’t 1.1.1.1 ?
