The "TCP specifically" part of the question confused the heck out of me. PMTUD is an IP function in every way as far as I'm concerned. (If you're saying that the way it's actually coded makes it more like a TCP function, I'd still change the wording unless you're hiring people to write network drivers.) -Terry
