Considering events, it could be:
1. Overloaded.
2. Clogged cooling/venting system.
3. Clogged Water filer -> Not unlikely if the unit sits unused for long
periods of time.
4. Valves too tight.

Who knew I could put that deisel mechanic knowledge to work again.

Hell yes. "Standby service" is a way different set of rating
than "24x7"..... 


(I'm sorry to guess if it still overheats, a blown headgasket
or cracked head are real possibilities...)
