i've seen queues backing up because the bank of 1200 bps modems weren't enough, and queues backed up because a series of 400Meg messages kept failing halfway through delivery.
Doesn't anyone here recall the infamous OSU/Compuserve ftp-by-mail debacle...??? It totally killed OSU's mail system. In a case of fiction portends reality, Karl Kleinpaste solved it by applying a Net-trueism; he wrote the backlog off to 9-track tapes and DROVE them across town.... -- A host is a host from coast to coast.................wb8foz () nrk com & no one will talk to a host that's close........[v].(301) 56-LINUX Unless the host (that isn't close).........................pob 1433 is busy, hung or dead....................................20915-1433
