I agree, sounds like FCAPS ^ which is often used in discussions of full-blown network managements systems and is described in various standards documents. However, I believe the "P" has traditionally been for Performance vice Provisioning.

It stands for Fault Configuration Accounting Provisioning and Security. This is used to represent the various functionalities that a network equipment is typically required to support. I personally have not heard of FCATS in reference to network equipments. Vinay
