I assume you are refering to over the air broadcast service.  You pay for
every kilowatt and employee salary by buying the products that advertise 
on the station.  Billions of dollars go into the pockets of TV/Radio stations,
advertising agencies, and power companies and it comes out of the profits
of soda companies, pimple cream and car dealerships.

There is no free lunch.
