Can't run Metasploit GUI

Eh, I had this vague hope that it was something others had run into and I
was just a little slow tonight. :)

There's not a whole lot else to tell though - no errors, items of interest
in any log I can find, etc. The computer is running XP SP3, and it's the
latest stable release of Metasploit from metasploit.org. I'm running the
WIN32 version, not under Cygwin. When I initially installed I already had
Nmap and Winpcap installed. After the first install failed I began
uninstalling Nmap, Winpcap, Metasploit, and then reinstalling in various
configurations, none of which worked. I've attempted to launch both the GUI
and the web server from the CMD Shell item in the Metasploit start menu
item.

I'm not sure what else would be helpful - feel free to ask for more though.
I'm sorry I can't be more helpful, but being new to Metasploit, and having
no errors or anything to go on I don't know what all I should be including.

Good evening, everyone.

I just installed Metasploit Framework 3 on a laptop running Windows XP, and
am having some trouble running it. Whenever I install it and try to run the
GUI, nothing happens. I also cannot access the web interface or the command
line. Whenever I try updating, it gives the error "svn: '.' is not a working
copy directory". I have tried completely uninstalling Metasploit, Nmap, and
Winpcap to no avail. Can anyone shed some light on this issue?

Thanks in advance.
