Can't run Metasploit GUI

Good evening, everyone.

I just installed Metasploit Framework 3 on a laptop running Windows XP, and
am having some trouble running it. Whenever I install it and try to run the
GUI, nothing happens. I also cannot access the web interface or the command
line. Whenever I try updating, it gives the error "svn: '.' is not a working
copy directory". I have tried completely uninstalling Metasploit, Nmap, and
Winpcap to no avail. Can anyone shed some light on this issue?
