msfencode & msfpayload

need a little help with msfpayload and msfencode....is there any sort of documentation for these scripts?

Trying to get an alphanumeric encoded win32_bind shellcode for use with a perl script.....

tried using: 

msfpayload win32_bind P : msfencode -e Alpha2

however inital few bytes of payload still contain non alaphanumeric shellcode....is there a way i can tell msfencode to 
use GETPC?
