msfupdate failure

Odd.The weird part is the empty file name for the first update. The md5 
d41d8cd98f00b204e9800998ecf8427e is for an empty string too. Could you 
contact me off-list with your IP address so I can help debug? It looks 
like something is breaking on the network side or your local file 
permissions are hosed. Looks like its time to make msfupdate suck 
less ;-)
