Win32 error: Cwd.dll problem

hi!

after upgrading to v2.2 (from v2.0) i get the following error with msfweb after i open my browser to connect to 
localhost:55555 (i also get this error when i try to run /bin/* commands from msfconsole):

however, i can run perl scripts fine from cygwin shell. 

my system is WinXP SP1, 1.3GHz Centrino, 768MB RAM. v2.0 ran without a hitch prior to update.
