Greetings:

We are sending this transmission to make sure you are the very first to know
some important upcoming dates related to THOTCON.

*** Volunteer Opportunity ***
What: 2nd Cyber Security Awareness Action Day
When: Saturday October 5, 2019 (11am - 3pm)
Where: Chicago Public Libraries around the city

Last year, THOTCON volunteers were deployed throughout the city of Chicago
across close to 80 CPL locations. In total, we were able to address almost
400 individual questions around 3 basic security topics: Passwords,
Patching, and Privacy.

This year Chicago Public Library and THOTCON have decided to partner up
again and focus in on strategically distributed locations that will have the
most impact. Our goal continues to be to teach the public to be more
security-minded and as a result share what they learn with others.

We need approachable, helpful volunteers to answer tech questions and offer
security tips. Sign up here by August 31st, 2019. The cost is $0, you'll get
a special THOTCON t-shirt, an invite to the after-party, and the opportunity
to be a part of making a big impact in our city!

*** THOTCON 0xB - Save the Dates ***
THOTCON 0xB will be held May 8th & 9th, 2020.

All ticket levels will go on sale October 1st, 2019 at 00:00 Central US
Time. 

- Student Tickets (175 Available) @ $75.00
- Early GA Tickets (90 Available) @ $160.00 
- General Admittance (910 Available) @ $180.00
- VIP/Donor* (200 Available) @ $360.00

* Due to our 501(c)(3) status VIP/Donor level now includes a built-in $155
tax-deductible donation. Early GA and GA include a $5
tax-deductible donation. Consult your tax professional for guidance. 

Our Call for Papers (CFP) will open on October 1st, 2019 and close on
January 1st, 2020. 

Our Call for Villages (CFV) will also open on October 1st, 2019 and close
when we have filled all of our village slots. 

Our call for Sponsors is also open. If you work for a company that is
interested in sponsoring the Party, helping subsidize students tickets
through an Education Sponsorship or donate a contest prize, please let us
know. 

We hope to see you in October at our Action Day and at 0xB in 2020!
