If you look at the archives they were seriously charmed by Hitler too. Did
you know until he invaded Poland he was a nice man who did not really hate
Jewish people at all? If you did, then you read the Times. There would be
no war in Europe, Hitler was a very nice man. Hey! What about that
phenomena Sea Biscuit? That was the major coverage of the Times as the
world headed to WWII. Also, immigrants were scary.

How has that paper ever actually earned anyone's trust?  Particularly after
Judith Miller and more recently #ButHerEmails.

It is a mystery to me.
