Dave:

Contrary to the misleading message below, ISPs have no interested in
"throttling the free Internet." We work very hard -- giving up our evenings
and weekends, working for low or even no pay (I do not draw a salary from
my own company; all it covers is my health insurance), even risking our
necks to bring our customers good Internet.

Lobbyists -- working for edge providers who are the actual abusers of
consumers -- are attempting to spread misinformation and foster hatred of
those who practice our profession, and it is sad indeed that some people
wholeheartedly swallow the "fake news" they propagate. Hopefully, most
members of the public will be intelligent and insightful enough to
recognize these sensational false claims for what they are.

What an astonishing load of self-serving claptrap.

There were no gun laws before guns.

There were no telephone regulations before there were telephones.

The "net neutraility" laws came about *because of* only- recently started
efforts by major ISP's to throttle the free internet. Pretending otherwise
is to pretend we never needed US Marshalls in the old west - why should the
government interfere with cattle ranchers and gunmen? It was perfectly fine
before.
