Knowing when to compromise in order to inch closer to your goals is the essence of wisdom. Intransigence such as Nader's is sheer egotism. The country has paid an enormous price because too many liberals were equally intransigent and saw Nader as their hero. If you're one of those, shame on you - and if he runs, don't make the same mistake again. Many Democrats deserve to be chastised, and I'm all for his leaning on them and shoving them toward more progressive policies. But in running as a presidential candidate all he can possibly do is help the Republicans by bleeding off Democratic votes.
