Does anybody have information on the legal relationship between disabling software after its licensing and laws regarding licensing? I remember that a proposed change to licensing laws in the 1990s, called UCITA and then UCC 2B (http://www.badsoftware.com/ uccindex.htm) would have made this sort of thing commonplace. But UCC 2B was largely defeated! So is there a legal basis for disabling software?
