If this information is correct, it suggests that ICANN is still intent in pushing through the TLD, despite the objections of persons and organizations across the political and technical spectrum. The original IP thread on this controversy starts at:http://www.interesting-people.org/archives/interesting-people/200506/ msg00015.html
I suggest that my statement at: http://lists.elistx.com/archives/interesting-people/200508/msg00220.html remains an accurate analysis of the overall situation. --Lauren-- Lauren Weinstein lauren () pfir org or lauren () vortex com or lauren () eepi org Tel: +1 (818) 225-2800 http://www.pfir.org/lauren Co-Founder, PFIR - People For Internet Responsibility - http://www.pfir.org Co-Founder, EEPI - Electronic Entertainment Policy Initiative - http://www.eepi.org Moderator, PRIVACY Forum - http://www.vortex.com Member, ACM Committee on Computers and Public Policy Lauren's Blog: http://lauren.vortex.com DayThink: http://daythink.vortex.com ------------------------------------- You are subscribed as lists-ip () insecure org To manage your subscription, go to http://v2.listbox.com/member/?listname=ip Archives at: http://www.interesting-people.org/archives/interesting-people/
