Just about any place you go these days, you are being viewed by a CCTV camera: buildings, streets, malls, wherever. If you think that privacy involves not having your image captured, well, we crossed that bridge a long, long time ago. At least one IPer points out that cabbies have a far better security reason to capture your image than do office buildings, e.g., and I agree.
Sorry, Steve. Unwinding all the image capturing technology deployed throughout OECD countries (including taxis)over the last 15 years is just never going to happen.
