Hi Dave

Yet again the staff of Fairfax's Australian newspaper such as The Age  
and Sydney Morning Herald prove they know more about the future of  
publishing than the board and senior management of the company.

Fairfax is paying out $4.5 million to a departing, failed CEO in a  
golden handshake while stripping the company of its reporters,  
photographers, editors, illustrators, designers and sub-editors --  
the people who make the papers and on whom its profits rest.

In protest, Fairfax staff have created a blog to inform shareholders,  
readers and media watchers around the world of the problems poor  
management has set upon the company.
