It is highly doubtful that we will be able to feed >6 billion people by mid-century, much less whisk them about the country on a sleek new rail network along with oodles of consumer products from 12,000 miles away.
Both this and the original article are so ridiculous it's laughable, or would be if it weren't being used by busybodies as a basis for laws prohibiting the comfortable lifestyles we've paid for and are entitled to keep. You need to read "The Ultimate Resource 2" by Julian Simon, which disproves the entire "peak oil" scenario. Then if you still disagree, I'll be glad to make the same bet with you that Simon made with Paul Ehrlich. Left wingers and their media are always telling you the sky is fallingbecause they want to exploit your fears. The worst thing about democracy
is that people so ignorant that it works on them still get to vote. ------------------------------------- You are subscribed as lists-ip () insecure org To manage your subscription, go to http://v2.listbox.com/member/?listname=ip Archives at: http://www.interesting-people.org/archives/interesting-people/
