In the crowd that followed Moss outside, someone asked what the policy will
be for destroyed RFID chips.  Moss said that since the chip will only
contain information that is printed on the days page of the passport, it
will not matter, and that "if you wish to out your passport in the
microwave, you will still have a valid travel document that we will
recognize."

I'm very skeptical about the government following this policy (or that such
a policy even exists).
