This reminds me of a song by Hong Kong singer George Lam published around
the time Hong Kong was returned to China in 1997. Loosely translated, a
phrase from the song goes: "There will be trains and buses and there will
be taxis, but perhaps we will be asked 'what for?' when we travel."
