Not surprisingly, the appellate court said that the lower court did not havepersonal jurisdiction over the French parties because they had insufficient
contact with California. The decision does not address Yahoo's First Amendment claims. The significance is that Yahoo now does not have automatic immunity in the United States for its foreign activities.
