Go For Atari
Over the weekend, worldwide electronic game studio, Infogrames, changed its
name to Atari, according to a press release.

The name, "Atari", was derived from the Japanese strategy game of Go, and
roughly translated equates to the the Chess term, "check". Originally the
company was to be called "Syzigy", a straight line between three celestial
bodies (the co-founders), and some of this early experimentation can still
be seen in the distinctive "Fuji" Atari logo.
