pulver.com Free World Dialup Service Implements Newly Established Internet
Country Code - 87810
Monday February 10, 1:13 pm ET

WASHINGTON--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Feb. 10, 2003--Jeff Pulver, CEO, pulver.com announced plans to make Free World Dialup (http://www.pulver.com/fwd) users accessible via the new established 87810 country code associated with the
Internet.
"The decision of the International Telecommunications Union to enable a
country code for the Internet seems a terrific endorsement of Internet
Telephony and a significant milestone in the evolution of the Internet,"
said Jeff Pulver. "It seems appropriate to recognize the Internet as a
country separate and apart from traditional national boundaries. Members of Free World Dialup already expressed their eagerness to join the new global
country known as the Internet."

Free World Dialup's URU10 service (see telephone keypad in US - 8=U; 7=R; 8=U) will provide a means for anyone with access to the Public Switched
Telephone Network (PSTN) to reach someone in the Free World Dialup
Community. Customers need to choose unique URU number's, but they otherwise don't need to follow the traditional numbering plans. Jeff Pulver launched Free World Dialup (FWD) on November 11, 2002. FWD adds over 1000 members per week and growth continues to accelerate. Anyone with a broadband connection and an Internet Protocol (IP) telephone can take advantage of the service.
FWD assigns a unique number for the user's equipment and provides the
mechanism for calls between members. Free World Dialup does not use
traditional telephone numbers or connect directly to the Public Switched Telephone Network. The service facilitates the call set up process, but it
does not have a role after connecting callers.

Free World Dialup members can make no-cost telephone calls between each
other.

Press Conference: Jeff Pulver will answer questions about the new Internet Country Code and Free World Dialup at the JW Marriott (Rayburn Room) 1331 Pennsylvania Avenue, Washington, DC 10:00-11:00 A.M. on Wednesday, February
12, 2003.
Event: The NTIA Roundtable planned for February 12, 2003 1:00-5:00 pm will feature Jeff Pulver on the panel "The VoIP Marketplace -- Current and Future Trends Affecting VoIP Services, Service Providers, Equipment Vendors, and
Consumers."
"Voice applications of the Internet did not even exist a few short years ago. It seems remarkable how fast Internet telephony emerged as a force in the world of telecommunications", noted Daniel Berninger, Managing Director, pulver.com. The existence of VoIP already forced carriers to lower the cost of international calls. The URU10 service makes area codes obsolete. The entire globe becomes a single area code. The URU number seems yet another example of the Internet's unifying power. The URU number represents yet more
evidence the number exhaust claims of the incumbents will never get
realized."
