I issued the report/alert through my site and the Privacy Rights Clearinghouse. http://www.pamdixon.com/jobseekerprivacystudyfeb03.htm http://www.privacyrights.org/new.htm A person posing as a recruiter took the resumes from July 2002 through November 2002. He got sued, which is how I found out about it. Unfortunately, though, people who are looking for jobs in those industries and who posted resumes on BioView, Medzilla, HireHeath, and possibly other sites may not have been contacted about the issue. I should also mention that biotech/parma employers evidently got free access to the purloined resumes. Medzilla did the right thing and notified about 2,400 folks about the theft, which were the people they were sure had their data stolen. There are some other issues in the report, but that's the gist of it. My concern is to get the word out to those folks who may be impacted by this.
