Dave,

A short update on GSM, ADSL & Wi-Fi connection costs from Central Europe for
IP if you wish:

Eurotel, one of the 3 national GSM operators here in the Czech Republic just
this week announced an unlimited use GPRS option for 1000 CZK per month
(~$34 USD).

It's still "a little expensive" for the individual consumer, considering the
average salary in the Czech Republic is around $575 USD per month, but
Eurotel should be commended for taking A Good Step in The Right Direction...

But, ... On The Other Hand, considering that ADSL was also just recently
introduced here for around 1500 CZK month (~$50 USD) for 192 kbs connection
with crippling 1:50 bandwidth aggregation sharing ratio (i.e. your bandwidth
allocation is shared between 50 other users!), perhaps it's not so bad. ;)

I'm currently paying 1900 CZK per month (~$64 USD) for an unlimited 256kbs
P2P Wi-Fi connection to a Wireless Internet Service Provider with a "much
nicer" 1:10 bandwidth aggregation sharing ratio.
