Dave -- you should wonder why the FCC is ramming HD down the throats of
PBS stations that can't afford it. KOCE -- the PBS affiliate in Orange
County, CA -- is being pushed into an outright sale because the Orange
Coast College District can't afford the equipment upgrades. HD Is a
disaster for small stations, and I fear it will become one for
television generally as HD sets won't decline in price as fast as
certain people in the FCC now believe.
