On top of all this, is the specter of the DCMA style of federal
control leading to the taxpayers paying for protection of the Music
Industry from the taxpayers who want to be free from Music Industry
controls.

It is plain silly for industries to build products that require
federal law enforcement to control the market at taxpayer's expense!

Like the early cell phone problems where industry built an insecure
system and arranged for the fed to make use of its insecurities a
crime, and thus creating a new criminalized segment of society.
