Subject: TRO for W2K and XP?

Perhaps Microsoft should be encouraged to ship W2000 and XP with stronger
security and a default configuration that prevents IP spoofing. I think
it's inappropriate for a major vendor to release a product which has a
high likelihood of causing its purchasers security problems and which will
be used used as a platform for attacks on others. A temporary restraining
order might be a reasonable form of "encouragement."
