CAPTN TO HOLD CONGRESSIONAL ELECTRONIC COMMUNICATIONS SUMMIT
AT US CAPITOL, JULY 23,1999

Professional Association Brings Internet Professionals from the Nation's Top Policy, Public Affairs and Political 
Groups Together with Key Congressional Staff for Historic Exchange

Washington, DC -- The July luncheon for the Communications and Policy Technology Network (CAPTN) will be a summit; 
bringing together for the first time, Congressional staff responsible for constituent communications programs and the 
Internet strategists and Webmasters of the nation's top policy, public affairs and political groups, who are 
mobilizing members and communities to contact the members of Congress via the Internet.  The two groups will discuss 
the status of email on Capitol Hill, the best ways to effectively channel messages to Congress over the Internet, and 
future of Congressional electronic communications.

for public affairs, policy and political work. Our membership includes Internet strategy and production specialists 
from public affairs, public relations and issue advocacy groups, unions, political parties, candidate campaigns, think 
tanks, foundations, Capitol Hill and the federal government.
