That note may be his signal that the book is near publication. Rumor is that he's got a lot of new stuff to report gathered over twenty years since the bountiful 70s intelligence hearings. A hint is in the concluding sentence of the review: "Think twice about a cover-up: a budding author may be standing under the cloak next to you." Did HPSCI Chairman Goss get what he wanted from NSA? His advocacy of accessible crypto in the SAFE markup seems to say he and NSA managed to keep the fix intact. Bamford could be ready to unfix that with help from embittered ex-NSAs and -DoJs who're disgusted with the post-Church cover-up.
