        Curt Weldon, Congressman of the 7th district, will be this year's first
speaker in Penn Engineering's  Technology, Business and Government
Distinguished Lecture Series.  He will be speaking on "Technology and
Business in the Twenty-First Century: A Congressional Perspective."

        When:   Monday, February 1, 1999

        This is a great opportunity to hear from Congressman Weldon who is the
senior member of the House Committee on Science and chairman of the
Military Research Committee.  Curt Weldon has a keen interest in technology
development in the Delaware Valley.  

        There will be an opportunity for questions following his talk and a chance
to meet him during the reception.
