The saga of a disgruntled Australian computer buyer inspired Matt Jensen, Webmaster of "TheNoodle.com", to organize a "Windows Refund Day." On February 15, 1999, computer buyers who were forced to pay for copies of Windows when they intended to run UNIX (or UNIX workalikes), NetWare, OS/2, or other alternative operating systems will request refunds en masse. These refunds are explicitly promised by Microsoft's End User License Agreement, which is displayed whenever a user starts a new machine that's bundled with Windows.
